What fly fisher doesn’t start their day with coffee? I know my coffee taste went from dull to snooty when I was doing the business startup for Los Pescadores on South Padre Island, and let me tell you, three years later and I have yet to settle for Folgers for my morning coffee … unless I need to “break glass in case of emergency!” Only as a last resort will I fall back to coffee for the sake of coffee … see what I mean? Snooty. The fact is, lighter roasts actually contain things that are much BETTER for your health, than do dark coffees. But that is another story for another day.
I have been on Creatine for about six months now, recommended dose, and it makes a difference. Now, according to Ben, I need to pay more attention to the BRAND of Creatine I am taking, but “paying attention” means one thing – paying more. And that, is not something I can do at the moment. So I have settled on a middle ground, and hope it passes all the tests. FOR THOSE OF US heading in for regular blood/urine tests, be sure to let your physician know you have started taking Creatine! It seriously jacks with numbers that would indicate kidney problems. My overall impression is that cheap Creatine is not good, and good Creatine is not cheap. It is what it is.
Creatine has had a noticeable effect on my recovery from hard fly fishing days, and less noticeably helped with memory. I cannot say it is a ⚡️LIGHTNING BOLT⚡️ of improvement. It is a small but noticeable gain. But it is only one step on our Wholistic Fly Fisher© journey. The physical recovery effects are much more noticeable for me.
Of course, always remember to remain in consult with your medical professionals. This process takes time! If you do start on it, your own experience will vary – most definitely! Most people do not stick to these routines, and give up because they “don’t notice” anything different. Like I said, this is not a LIGHTNING STRIKE ⚡️!
